Syracuse man charged with illegal gun possession

A Syracuse man was found in possession of a fully loaded revolver while not possessing a valid New York State Pistol Permit, according to Syracuse Police.

Infinite Holmes, 19, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest, police said.

Holmes was first spotted at 2:18 p.m. on Friday in the 600 block of Highland Street with two other males, in regards to possible illegal gambling, according to police.

Police said Holmes attempted to flee police and fought with them before being taken into custody.

Holmes was sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending his arraignment.
