Teen suspects seen running from scene of double shooting in Syracuse

SYRACUSE -- Two men were shot Wednesday evening on Syracuse's west side.

Police responded to the area of Oswego and Seymour Streets, a few blocks south of Skiddy Park, near the Syracuse Community Health Center. Neighbors reported shots fired just before 9:00 p.m.

On the scene, officers found a man, 20, was suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Just after 9:00 p.m., University Hospital reported a man, 28, arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his forearm. The victim arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle and said he was shot while in the Oswego and Seymour Streets area as well. Police say his injury is not considered to be life-threatening.

The suspects were described as two males, 16-18 years old, last seen running northbound on Oswego Street away from the scene. One was reported to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and the other a grey hooded sweatshirt.
