It's the week before elections, Halloween week and more. Take a look at some of the stories and events the CNYCentral News Team is following for you

Here are some of the stories and events we'll be watching for in in Central NY, in the Week Ahead:

The week before elections...a busy one for boards of elections...in Onondaga County they'll be open late--til seven on Tuesday and Thursday, also Saturday morning to take in person requests for absentee ballots. The mail in deadline for absentees is Tuesday.

Also Tuesday, the Raise the Bar initiative --- making night life healthier by monitoring sexual aggression---Vera House's roll out in Armory Square.|

Mall o Ween, safe trick or treating for kids at Shoppingtown, Tuesday two to seven.

And the congressional debate for the 24th district...on NBC 3 and CBS 5 and our social media, Tuesday evening at seven.|

Former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly's at Destiny for autograph signing Tuesday 7 to 9...it's a ticketed event at Gentleman's Corner Barber Shop.

Tuesday's the last day of operation for the Tops Markets in Syracuse's Valley area, and in Westvale.

Wednesday is Halloween...Raven Haven is open on Liverpool's Thunderbird Road ...

And Trick or Treating all over--five to eight the suggested hours.

Thursday, the first of November. The speed limit on Onondaga Lake Parkway drops to 45 miles per hour for winter driving.

Enrollment opens for New York State of Health health insurance....thru January.

And Shoppingtown's owners may be in court Thursday, trying to stop Onondaga County from seizing the tax delinquent mall

Saturday, the squishing of the squash at Syracuse's Zoo.

The model train fair at the State Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday

Best Buy on Route 31 near Great Northern Mall...shuts down Saturday

And the end of Daylight Saving Time...you'll get an extra hour’s sleep as you set clocks back an hour on Saturday night
