VIRGIL, N.Y. -- Three people have been charged for a burglary n Virgil earlier this month.
The Cortland County Sheriff's Office says the robbery happened at about 12:36 a.m. on April 18 at the Virgil Country Market. There deputies responded to a building alarm and found a window had been smashed and the store was broken into.
Three suspects were identified as having taken undisclosed items from the store, one of which was under the age of 16.
The suspects were found at different address in the Cortland area and brought to the Sheriff's Office and the Homer Police Department where they were interviewed and arrested Wednesday.
20-year-old James A. Perone, from McGraw, and 18-year-old Zachary J. Morgan, from Cortland, were each charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Conspiracy, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Petit Larceny. They were both arraigned and released on their own recognizance.
The juvenile in this case will appear in Cortland County Family Court on a separate date.
