Police: Two teens shot Wednesday afternoon on N. Salina Street

Two teenagers were shot in the 1400 block of North Salina Street Wednesday afternoon, according to Syracuse Police.

Officers say they responded to the area of Park Street and Turtle Street just after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they met with a 17-year-old boy who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

Officers were also told a second victim was found in the 300 block of Bear Street. When officers arrived, they met with a 16-year-old boy who was also suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

According to investigators, the victims were walking in the 1400 block of North Salina Street when they were shot. After they were shot, the victims say they split up and went different directions to get medical attention.

The victims refused to give any details to investigators. Witnesses told police that the suspect was possibly a man wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
