WATCH: How this CNY 'Snow Beard' came to be
MINOA N.Y. —
We get a lot of fantastic pictures through our Chime-In page, but this one stopped us in our tracks.
Brian Barfoot told CNYCentral that he went for a three-hour run in Minoa during the cold snap, and chunks of ice formed on his facial hair.
After we shared Barfoot's photo, "snow beards" from across Central New York have started to appear.
Remember, wind chill alerts remain in effect for parts of Central New York through Tuesday morning, and our Weather Authority team (and doctors) say we should cover all exposed skin while and limit time outside.
Click play on the video above to hear what Barfoot told CBS5's Michael Benny about how long it took him to thaw out and warm up.
