A Wayne County man is facing charges after officials say he was driving drunk and almost hit a Sheriff's deputy.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Glenn LeClaire, 63, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while .o8% or higher, failure to keep right and failure to submit a pre-screen breath test.

Officials say LeClaire was driving westbound on Lake Road in the Village of Sodus Point when he crossed the center lane, almost hitting a deputy that was driving eastbound.

Deputies say a traffic stop was conducted and LeClaire was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was administered field sobriety tests. He failed them and was taken into custody.

LeClaire was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Town of Sodus Court at a later date.
