Will Jim Boeheim coach Saturday against Duke?

Following a deadly crash involving Syracuse men's basketball Coach Jim Boeheim, many people in the community are wondering whether he will still coach at Saturday's game against Duke.

CNYCentral asked the university whether any plans for the game have changed.

"If anything were to change, we would alert the media," Syracuse University Athletics Spokesman Pete Moore said via email.

Statements from both Boeheim and Athletic Director John Wildhack did not address the game, and offered condolences to the the family of the victim, identified as 51-year-old Jorge Jimenez, of Syracuse.

Wildhack said Boeheim met with his players privately Thursday, but did not attend practice.

A record-setting crowd is expected to be at the Carrier Dome when the game tips off at 6 p.m. ESPN's College GameDay has canceled plans to broadcast live from the Dome Saturday morning.

Coach Boeheim usually does a weekly radio show broadcast on TK99 from Carrabba's. CNYCentral confirmed Thursday's show has been canceled.
