Deputies identify woman struck by minivan, critically injured
CLAY, N.Y. —
Deputies have identified the woman who was critically injured after being struck by a minivan.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Alexis Alibrandi was hit by a Ford Freestar van on Route 31 between Oswego Road and Theodolite Drive.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Alibrandi unconscious in the road suffering from "severe" injuries.
Alibrandi was taken to Upstate University Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery. Officials said she is listed in critical condition.
Investigators believe Alibrandi was trying to cross Route 31 when she was hit.
Deputies said the driver of the minivan is cooperating and no tickets have been issued.
The crash remains under investigation.
