Your wake up forecast for Friday November 10
Good morning! Here is a look at your forecast:
Temperatures will drop to between 20 and 25 through 8 AM for most of our area. The coldest countryside is between 17 and 20. Numbers will hold rather steady for the rest of the morning.
Morning wind chills:
Real feel numbers will drop to between 5 and 10 degrees.
Morning sky condition & precipitation:
Localized steadier snow showers that have already passed through central New York as of 5:45 AM will continue to drop further southward through the mid to late morning. As these steadier snow showers exit, it should give way to lighter flurries and sunshine. It will be blustery. Wind: NW 15 to 22 MPH with gusts to 30-40 MPH. What should I wear outside?:
You and your kids should wear a heavier coat, hat and gloves today. It is your decision on what you and your children should wear.
Any notable driving conditions today?:
Slow down on highways and roadways that have not been treated repeatedly. The first streets you encounter like neighborhood streets will likely be the worst this morning. Be especially careful on curves, hills, overpasses and ramps as these will also be tricky this morning due to snow cover and icy spots.
Afternoon ride home:
Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds with scattered flurries. It will remain well below normal temperature and wind chill-wise. Temperatures should be in the lower to middle 20s for most areas with wind chills of 10 to 15. Normal high for Syracuse today is 51 degrees. Wind: NW 15 to 20 with gusts to 30 MPH.
