Florida teen set to receive millions from state for accident

A Florida teen is set to received $3.5 million from the State of Florida, thanks to state legislators.

Aubrey Stewart was hit by a tree limb from a tree city officials had been told numerous times was ready to fall.

The incident left her paralyzed for life.

Although there is a limit on what cities can pay for this type of accident, the city coucil agreed more should be done after being approached by the family.

Ultimately, the legislature and governor would lift the cap.
