How-to on Urban Gardening this Wednesday

Syracuse Grows is in its 10th year of helping urban gardeners raise their own vegetables and fruit. There's a seed swap scheduled for its annual meeting this Wednesday

If you've ever wanted to grow your own vegetables, and maybe some fruit, too, check out Syracuse Grow's annual meeting this Thursday evening.

The not-for-profit will hold a seed swap at the event, at Syracuse's Dunbar Center, on Wednesday evening, 6 to 8pm.

Sarah Brown, with Syracuse Grows, says the volunteer group is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. It oversees several community gardening projects in Syracuse, in addition to providing advice and helping make the gardening possible by providing fertilizer and how-to advice, and loaning gardening implements like shovels and rakes to would-be gardeners.
