On Monday...Phoenix Police will be distributing gift baskets to seniors...the items donated by village residents and their Oswego County neighbors.

Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon holds his last town hall this year...for Liverpool residents at the SalinaTown Hall, starting 6:30 Monday evening...he promises more community meetings in the new year.

On Tuesday, Madison County announces plans to increase school security --the county budget will fund it--six school districts have expressed interest in having special patrol officers...SRO's, on their staffs..

Wednesday morning, Ralph Rotella's Discount Shoe Repair in downtown Syracuse loads up a truck of donated shoes he's refurbished for the Rescue Mission

Wednesday is Christmas Bureau Donation Day...food and toys donated by the communinty...being given to the area's needy thru the Salvation Army. Doors at the Oncenter open 8:30am til 6.

It's also opening day for Onondaga Historical Association's look back to South Salina Street, 1940 to 1980

And the classic It's a Wonderful Life shows at Syracuse's Landmark Theatre Wednesday 7pm.

Thursday is the last day to donate used bikes at the State Fairgrounds, for this year's bike giveaway----it will be at Syracuse's Fowler High School Saturday morning starting at 10.

Thursday evening, a turkey carving party at Temple Society of Concord...which will serve on meals Christmas day at Syracuse's Samaritan Center.

Friday is the winter solstice...days start getting longer and nights shorter again.

Saturday and Sunday the last weekend performances by the Dickens characters in Skaneateles Village.
