It is a week for 'States of " speeches by several elected officials, and there's more in The Week Ahead:

The Federal shutdown's effects in the spotlight here on Monday: Senator Chuck Schumer's in Syracuse Monday morning with an announcement Congressman Anthony Brindisi talks about its effect on farmers from oriskany.
Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow delivers his State of the City, Monday evening.
Tuesday afternoon, Governo Cuomo delivers his State of the State...and presents his proposed budget, from Albany.

In Wayne County Alberto Reyes is due in court...he's been in jail without bail for the murder of his girlfriend Selena Hidalgo Calderon and her14 month old son Owen.


On Wednesday evening the West Genesee School Board meets again--with the status of Superintendent Chris Brown expected to be a topic.


On Thursday evening, Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh presents his State of the the Redhouse City Center.


Friday, the Winter Antiques Show opens at the State Fairgrounds...thru Sunday.


And next weekend, the Society for New Music collaborates with the MOST, to present programs that combine music and space exploration...Saturday afternoon a look at high tech homegrown instruments...

Sunday a world premiere opera set to NASA pictures and audio files.
