It's a season the entire Cougar community can be so proud of, but the work's not done yet.

The Corcoran High School Boy's Basketball team closed out the 2019 regular season with a record of 18-1 and have earned the No. 1 overall seed in the Section III Boys’ Basketball Class AA Championship.

Corcoran is led by the leadership of senior guard Daimarr Miller and junior guard De’jour Reaves. Miller has averaged 15.4 points per game while hauling in 2.2 rebounds per matchup. Reaves who leads the team in total points with 431, is averaging 22.7 points every time he steps on the court.

Corcoran suffered their only loss of the season to the West Genesee Wildcats by a score of 65-63 on a controversial buzzer beater by the Wildcats Jack McLane. It was certainly a season to celebrate for the Cougars and they are looking to continue their run through the Section III Championship bracket when they take on the winner of No. 8 Nottingham vs. No. 9 Liverpool on February 19.

So, it's a season to be proud of but rest assured, the Cougars are ready for more.
