From B'ville to the NFL, Boltus on incredible journey

From Baldwinsville to the NFL is an incredible journey and its one that Jason Boltus is about to complete. Boltus is just finishing up his senior year at Hartwick College in Oneonta. Boltus went to the Division III school after spending his redshirt year at SUNY Albany. Jason did not get looks from the big time college football programs because in high school he was part of the highly successful offense Bees' offense that relies heavily on the running game and Boltus' arm wasn't readily on display.

Since arriving at Hartwick, it's been full speed ahead for Boltus. He's virually re-written the record books for Division III passing and won that level's version of the Heisman Trophy. It was then that the scouts from nearly every NFL team started to take notice. "It's been a journey not in a million years did I expect to be on ESPN First Take, at the combine, it's definitely a great situation you know you're playing, doing something you love and getting paid to do it's definitely something I've always wanted to do and still want to do" says Boltus

Boltus has been very busy recently, frequenting pro-days and the NFL Scouting Combine, all things he never thought would happen when he graduated from C.W. Baker High School in 2004 "It's been almost like a dream come true and coming here you know I wanted to come play and have fun and it's been a crazy couple of months so I'm just waiting for the call to see where I'll be headed.

That call will most likely come on Sunday, whether he is selected selected in the later rounds of the draft, as anticipated, or signs with a team as a Free Agent. Either way, Central New York is proud of its latest native to perhaps make the NFL
