Le Moyne College is hoping to make history on Sunday.

After Friday's 18-1 runaway win over Regis (Colorado) in the National Semifinal, the Dolphins are set to play for the Division II Women's Lacrosse National Championship.

It's the first time any women's program at Le Moyne has ever played for a National Championship. Thus, it would be the first women's national title in the college's history.

The Dolphins (21-1) are set to meet Florida Southern at Noon Sunday in Tampa, Florida.

In the blowout victory over Regis, Nicole Delany from West Genesee tallied eight points on an impressive six goals and two assists.

Bryanna Fazio scored six points via four goals and two assists.

Le Moyne's title game adversary, Florida Southern College, is also 21-1 on the season. The Mocs made the title game by defeating East Stroudsburg State 20-14.

If Le Moyne can bring it home it would further celebrate the incredible career of head coach Kathy Taylor. In her time as a head coach, Taylor led Fayetteville-Manlius High School to a New York State Championship and SUNY Cortland to a Division III National Semifinal.
