Syracuse Basketball stays perfect in ACC with impressive win over Clemson

Elijah Hughes led the Orange in scoring for the second straight game with 14 points in a 61-53 win over Clemson

Clemson took an early 5-2 lead over Syracuse just over two minutes into the game.

It's the last time they'd be on top of the Orange the rest of the game.

Syracuse a 10-0 run and never looked back en route to a 61-53 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday night.

With the win, the Orange is now 11-4 overall and 2-0 in the ACC.

Syracuse's win over Clemson is solid without question, but it's the way they outplayed the Tigers that's a nice sign for the rest of the season.

The Orange forced 17 turnovers while holding Clemson to just 35% shooting (25% from three point range)

Syracuse had four players in double figures with Elijah Hughes leading the way with 14 points and seven rebounds. Tyus Battle and Frank Howard scored 12 points each.

Jim Boeheim's team is back home on Saturday night, hosting Georgia Tech at 6:00 p.m.

That is followed by the first road game in conference play this year, and what a way to start, taking on #1 Duke in Durham on Monday night.
