Syracuse Football signs 17 recruits on National Signing Day

Dino Babers on National Signing Day

Dino Babers makes it clear, the stellar athletes that signed with Syracuse Football on Wednesday are more a product of the Clemson upset in 2017 than the success of 2018's breakout season.

If that's the case, look out in 2020.

The Class of 2019 is by all accounts outstanding, one that features athletes that picked Syracuse over big time programs, including Miami and Clemson among others.

It includes Cooper Dawson, picking the Orange over Clemson in a special way.

Overall the class features players from all over the United States and even two of the top recruits in Canada.

Here's the full list:

Courtney Jackson, Safety, Pennsylvania

Andrew Tuazama, Defensive Lineman, North Carolina

Aman Greenwood, Defensive Back, Washington, D.C.

Joe Rondi, Defensive Lineman, New Jersey

Mikel Jones, Linebacker, Florida

Anthony Red, Offensive Lineman, Connecticut

Garrett Williams, Defensive Back, North Carolina

Matthew Bergeron, Offensive Lineman, Quebec, Canada

Luke Benson, Tight End, Pennsylvania

Lee Kpogba, Linebacker, North Carolina

Adrian Cole, Defensive Back, Florida

Cooper Dawson, Defensive Lineman, South Carolina

Ishmael Goulborne, Defensive Lineman, Florida

Darius Tisdale, Offensive Lineman, New Jersey

Geoff Cantin, Linebacker, Canada

Cornelius Nunn, Defensive Back, Florida

Jawhar Jordan, Running Back, New York

The Orange still has roughly five spots to fill in this class, or possibly through transfers before hitting its scholarship limit. Coach Babers and his staff will hit the road recruiting hard after the bowl game for the rest of the Class of 2019 and the beginning of the Class of 2020.
