Orchard Park, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bills didn't make the playoffs this year, but they surely have another feather in their collective cap to end the season, thanks to the heroics of rookie quarterback Josh Allen.

Allen was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week by the NFL.

The California native was responsible for five touchdowns in Sunday's 42-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.

He completed 17 of 26 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns with an interception. He also passed for three touchdowns. For just the second time in his career, he completed more than 50% of his throws.

His three passing TDs and five overall scores were both career highs.

Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
