Patrick Corbin, Scott Blewett headline celebrity bartending event for On My Team 16

Baldwinsville native and minor league baseball pitcher Scott Blewett serves up some cocktails during the annual 'On My Team 16' celebrity bartending event Sunday night.

The stars were out in Syracuse on Sunday night.

A pair of professional baseball players made their annual appearances for the 'On My Team 16' celebrity bartending event from the Orange Crate atop the SU Hill.

Patrick Corbin, the former Cicero-North Syracuse standout and current Washington Nationals pitcher headlined the event, coupled with Scott Blewett, a Baldwinsville native and now minor league baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

CNY Central Sports Director Niko Tamurian also served as a celebrity bartender for the event.

Proceeds from Sunday night's event go toward On My Team 16, a non-profit organization raising money in the fight against Pediatric Cancer.

"It's always good to help out the Sheridan family and their charity," Corbin explained. "It's such a great cause, and anything to help out Syracuse. I'm from here, born and raised. Just to be able to come back, spend time with some family and friends, raise some money for a good cause, and come out here and have fun. My bartending skills aren't the best."

Jordan Sheridan was the founder of the organization after her younger brother Jack was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2014.

He has since beaten the dreadful disease, and now stars as a pitcher for the Le Moyne College baseball team.

"That's the bottom line of On My Team 16," Jack Sheridan continued, "trying to improve the lives of children battling Pediatric Cancer. That's what Christmas is about, you know? Improving lives and spreading joy. So, that's what we tried doing and that's what we're doing tonight."
