Rochester Amerks put a halt to Syracuse Crunch's 13-game points streak, win 4-3

The Crunch and Amerks got in a series of scuffles during Saturday night's game from the War Memorial.

The Syracuse Crunch will need to start a new streak after Saturday night's game.

The Crunch were riding a 13-game points streak, as the Amerks came to town as perhaps the AHL's top team.

Rochester has shot up the Eastern Conference standings, now standing in second place with 34 points on the year, only behind the Charlotte Checkers.

The Crunch fell behind 2-1 after the first period and 3-1 after the second, but after a furious Syracuse rally, it was still not enough.

Syracuse dropped its first regulation game since October 27th.

The Crunch will be back in action on Wednesday when they visit the Toronto Marlies for a 7 p.m. start.
