The Syracuse Crunch continue their upward trajectory as perhaps the team to beat when the Calder Cup Playoffs get underway in under two weeks.

The Crunch met the Utica Comets on Saturday night, going more than two-and-a-half periods without scoring, before notching the first goal of the game.

Matthew Peca's shot was re-directed by Erik Condra in front of the net, putting the Crunch ahead, 1-0.

Syracuse goaltender Eddie Pasquale, along with Utica's Thatcher Demko, combined for 55 total saves in the game.

The Crunch are back at home Sunday at 5 p.m. when the Binghamton Devils visit the War Memorial.
