C-NS girls, Bishop Ludden boys win big on Thursday night

The Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars girls’ basketball team cruised to a 64-51 road victory over the Corcoran Cougars on Thursday night. Sophomore Jessica Cook led the Northstars’ effort with 21 points, while junior Mackenzie White notched a trio of three-pointers. The win moves the Northstars to 10-4 overall and 8-1 in conference play on the season.

Meanwhile, the Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights boys’ basketball team topped the rival Westhill Warriors 73-57 in a Thursday night OHSL battle. Five different Gaelic Knights finished the evening with double-digit point totals including senior Nic Button, who dominated the court with 21 points. Bishop Ludden, now 8-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play, will face Utica Notre Dame this Saturday at 3 p.m.
