It was a repeat of the 2017 Section III championship game, and history repeated itself.

Liverpool beat Bishop Ludden in the championship game of the Gaelic Knights holiday tournament 63-49 on Thursday night.

The Warriors were led again by their dynamic duo- Charles Pride (12 points, 16 rebounds) and Nas Johnson (15 points, 11 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles.

Noah Issakainen scored 14 points with 5 rebounds.

It was a close game into the early second quarter, with Joe Connor slamming home two of his 16 points but eventually Liverpool pulled away for a 20 point halftime lead at 39-19.

The lead ballooned to 28 points before Ludden cut it in half for the final 14 points deficit.

Liverpool looks awfully impressive so far this season with an 8-0 record, and its closest challenge in that span was a 14-point game.

The Warriors are back in action on January 3rd against West Genesee.
