Playoff Bound- Baldwinsville punches ticket in final days of the season

Better late than never is an old cliche', but for Baldwinsville Boys Basketball it fits just fine.

The Bees topped West Genesee 76-67 in its last game of the season on Monday night behind 19 points from Casey Pluff.

The win secures the Bees a spot in the Class AA playoffs. It was also Baldwinsville's final regular season game.

8th grader Jonathan Starling dropped 12 points and Jacob Marshall scored 17 for Tim Solomon's squad which has looked fantastic down the stretch.

The Section III playoff pairings will be announced on Wednesday.

With that, other schools are working out the kinks before playoffs against power schools.

Bishop Ludden for instance, tested itself on the road at Bishop Grimes and had to rally for a 70-63 win.

Jai Smith scored 16 points and grabbed 20 rebounds while Joe Connor scored 19 and snagged 12 boards.

For Ludden, the regular season ends with a 16-4 mark.

For Grimes, led by T.J. Bradford's 26 points, the regular season ends with a playoff bid and an 11-9 mark.
