Toyota Game of the Week: Onondaga Tiger offense couldn't be tamed

ONONDAGA - The Onondaga Tigers hosted the Sandy Creek Comets Friday night. The Tigers came ready to play in front of their home crowd.

They went up 6-0 early thanks to a touchdown run from Jason Holbrook.

Onondaga QB Zach Delaney also had a big game. Delaney had a 57-yard touchdown completion to Owen Walker in the first half.

Sandy Creek showed fight in the second half, but they weren't able to slow down the Tigers.

Onondaga wins 40-20 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Quarterback and Coach credit a strong week of practice with the win.

"It's definitely a big improvement from last week," QB Zach Delaney said.

"We still have work to do, but I think that we're in pretty good shape," Head Coach Steve Lewis said.

Next week Onondaga hosts Holland Patent, and Sandy Creek hosts Dansville.
