Early Exit: Syracuse women fall flat in second half, bounced in NCAA opening round

The Syracuse University women's basketball team is headed home to Central New York.

The Orange fell to Oklahoma State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, 84-57.

A back-and-forth game early, Syracuse was led by Miranda Drummond's hot shooting, knocking down seven three-pointers in the contest.

However, the Orange still trailed 40-32 at the halftime break.

The second half belonged to the Cowgirls, specifically Jaden Hobbs.

The redshirt freshman went 8-for-9 from beyond the arc, dropping a game-high 27 points in the win.

With the loss, the Orange bow out of the NCAA Tournament in the first round, finishing with an overall record of 22-9.
