Orange fans head to New York City, hoping for big football win

CNYCentral's Niko Tamurian found Syracuse fans in NYC to watch both the basketball and football games.

It's a one of a kind weekend in New York City with the Syracuse men's basketball team and football team playing in the Big Apple.

The No. 15 Orange basketball team lost to UConn Thursday night, and struggled in its Friday matchup against Oregon, but fans are hoping the No. 12 football team can best the No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.

CNYCentral's Niko Tamurian found Syracuse fans in NYC to watch both the basketball and football games.

"It's huge, ya know, we're a basketball city, but having the football program at the level they're at, it's all coming back," said Jerome Watts, of Clay. "They will shock Notre Dame tomorrow."

It's the first time the football team is ranked higher than the Syracuse basketball team in 17 years, and overall it's the best November for Central New York Syracuse sports fans in a very long time.
