Syracuse University now features another national champion to its list.

Justyn Knight, a senior on the Orange Cross-Country team, captured the NCAA National Championship in the men's individual race from Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday.

Knight, a native of Ontario, Canada, was the NCAA Runner-Up in 2016.

Knight ran away from the competition, a pair of runners from Northern Arizona University, to claim the program's first national championship in its history.

Additionally, Paige Stoner delivered the best finish in the history of the Syracuse women's cross-country program, finishing in 17th.
