Syracuse University freshman guard Howard Washington was seen sitting out of practice on Tuesday, wearing street clothes after sustaining an apparent leg injury suffered during Monday's practice.

SU Athletics Spokesperson Pete Moore confirmed the injury to Sports Director Niko Tamurian.

Orange women's basketball media availability was held at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, while the men's basketball team was still practicing from the Carmelo K. Anthony practice facility.

Washington was seen wearing a brace covering a majority of his left leg, with a pair of crutches leaning up against the chair he was sitting in.

With Washington's injury, that leaves one scholarship player available off the bench, Bourama Sidibe, for Wednesday night's road contest at Georgia Tech.

Matthew Moyer is recovering from a severe ankle sprain suffered against Boston College last week. His status has been labeled day-to-day.

Syracuse and Georgia Tech will meet Wednesday at 8 p.m., televised on NBC3.
