The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee broke its silence Sunday evening, giving its final at-large bid to the Syracuse Orange.

Under Jim Boeheim, it's the 33rd time he's led the Orange to the NCAA Tournament during his 42 years of coaching at Syracuse University.

NCAA Division-I Men's Basketball Committee Chair and Creighton University Athletics Director Bruce Rasmussen explained during the Selection Show on TBS, where the Orange stacked up against the rest of the field.

"We had intense discussions regarding the last four in and the first four out," Rasmussen explained on TBS.

That's when TBS anchor Adam Zucker asked Rasmussen a point blank question.

"Who was the last team in?"

"Syracuse," Rasmussen said boldly.

The Orange will meet Arizona State in the Play-In game on Wednesday at 9:10 p.m. from Dayton, Ohio.

The winner will meet 6-seed TCU on Friday in the first round of the Midwest Region from Detroit, Michigan.
