Morgan Scott joined CNYCentral as a Multimedia Journalist in September of 2022. Morgan received her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego in 2021, where she majored in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. There, she was involved in the college’s award-winning student-run television & radio stations. A year after graduating from SUNY Oswego, she received her master’s degree from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Before joining the CNYCentral family, Morgan served as a Washington News Associate for KTAL-TV in Louisiana. During her time in Washington D.C., she was able to cover stories about several protests following the historic overturn of Roe v. Wade, the onset of the Omicron variant in Louisiana and much more. Morgan also worked as a part-time Multimedia Journalist for WUTV-TV in Utica, NY while attending Syracuse University.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Morgan found a passion for storytelling and news as she tuned in to Good Morning America every morning before school. Her goals have always been to help tell the stories of the voiceless, an objective she hopes to bring to Central New York.
When Morgan is not telling stories, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, binge-watching shows and playing basketball. She is a Brooklyn Nets fan and loves to catch a game in person when she can! If you have a story idea or would like to just say hi, feel free to contact Morgan through her email or social media accounts.
